The skills of Eversheds’ Manchester real estate team are being put to the test this month. Manchester partner Kuljeet Hothi is leading a team advising Croydon Council in a regeneration deal with John Laing. The deal is set to span 25 years and four town centre sites. As well as this, the Manchester firm is about to undertake a joint venture with Addleshaw Goddard. The firms will act as legal advisors to Wolesley UK. The builders merchants set to make up to 2,300 staff cuts will use Eversheds’ real estate expertise with Addleshaw Goddard giving advice on employment law, dividing all other areas of law between the two. The news is sure to be welcomed following last month’s redundancy talks in the real estate and corporate finance teams of the Manchester office.
