Joy for Pannone |
| Manchester firm Pannone last week celebrated two rather different victories.
Anthony Barnfather, the firm’s Head of Regulatory Investigations, triumphed in a case that has spanned six years. He acted for Kent Pharmaceuticals against the Serious Fraud Office’s claim that the company had created a cartel and last week the Court of Appeal judge threw the case out of court. Barnfather was said to view it as the highlight of his career.
Joy Kingsley, the Head of Private Client Services at the firm, has also received an accolade to her career. She will appear in the 2009 Who’s Who list. The annual list includes City lawyers such as Mark Rawlinson of Freshfields and Tony Keal of Simpson Thatcher & Bartlett. They join such people as Jimmy Wales (founder of Wikipedia) and US President Elect Barack Obama.
