Exciting news in the world of IP; Mathys & Squire are opening a Manchester branch. The firm is making the move into the North West with Peter Garratt (senior partner) and Anthony Duckett (chemical patent partner) taking the lead. Their new recruits include Gary Johnston and Robert Hawley who will both take their place as partners in the firm. Johnston has worked in Manchester for 18 years, with 11 of those years at William A Shepherd & Son as Managing Director. Hawley, who was a director of the same firm, will join him in launching Mathys & Squire’s Manchester branch. Their experience and local knowledge will be of benefit to the firm which currently has offices in London, Cambridge, Reading and York.
